Waiting for weekend
Here it is, more than halfway through Friday. This weeked is packed already with things for the family. We have a graduation party on Saturday, visits with family on Saturday and then several church things Sunday along with grocery shopping and laundry and yard wook in between everything else. At least my husband, son and I will be altogether for everything. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Short weeks
It is amazing how the weeks with a holiday seem to take so much longer than a five day week. Especially coming back from a week of vacation before it. I guess I can't complain too much.
During vacation I had so many problems with my car. I have a 2001 Buick Regal that has a little over 49,000 miles on it. I take fairly good care of it, but I ended up with some transmission problems. Took it to Haydocy and they ended up charging over 2600 dollars to repair it! Then when they called to give the quote, it was almost as if they thought that that amount of money was pocket change. Considering that it is more that I bring home in one month, I really did not care for that attitude, plus for $2600 I could have gotten a rebuilt transmission put in instead of just repairs on a couple parts (by the way, over $1500 was just for labor - would we all love to be able to make close to $100 an hour!). Needless to say, I won't be taking it back to Haydocy anytime soon and would recommend that others consider other places as well.
Well, I guess that I have ranted enough at this point.
Until next time...

Getting started
Well I have officially entered a new era now that I have a blog.
A little about myself, I am a public relations professional in the Columbus area. I am one of the few people that decided early on to work in government communications and love it. I currently work at the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, a state agency that provides programs to bring affordable housing to Ohioans.
On a personal note, I am a wife and mother and absolutely love being with my family. We just ended a week of vacation and really miss being with them during the day. Oh well, next time off isn't too far away. By the way, if you are looking for something to do in the Columbus area, check out Slate Run Farm and Metro Park. It is fun for kids to see the animals at the farm and there are lots of trails to walk in the Park.
