Picnic in the rain
After looking at the weather and radar, we decided to have a cookout at the local park. When we first arrived, our son was not hungary, so we went for a walk and let him play on the playground. We have been cooking the food for about 10 minutes when we started to hear thundar. Luckily there was shelter near by. While my husband finished cooking, "Little Man" and I took all our stuff to the shelter. There ended up being several others there as well. The rain decided to let loose about two minuties after our food had finished and we were sitting down to eat. Although we have had and will have many other cookouts at the park, this will be one that will stand out.

Working out
I started working out a few weeks ago, and it is still really hard to motivate myself to go to the gym each day. I know that I have to, and I can do it right here at work, but it is still hard. They say that if you do something for 21 days, you can build a habit. I am hoping that as I keep going, it will get better.
My son laid a major guilt trip on my husband yesterday. When they got to school, J.R. (my son) started crying and didn't want daddy to go, which of course broke my husband's, J.D., heart. As soon as J.D. rounded the corner to go to work, J.R. ran off to play with his friends. He was just putting on a show for daddy. I hope that as he gets older that will stop. (He is 3 right now.)
Anyway, it is cooling off for a few days, so that is welcome relief. Well, back to work.

Still hot in Ohio
It is so strange with the weather in Ohio. Typically we don't have many 90 degree days until July, but we are now in at least the 6th day straight. At least it made it possible to put up our pool and take a dip yesterday. My son had a great time and was able to get in twice yesterday, which made him really happy. The weekend was great. In addition to all the normal places to go, one of the local churches had a festival. My son had a wonderful time on the rides and playing games. My husband and I can't wait for the fair this summer so he can not only experience the animals and agriculture from the state, but also to let him ride some of the rides there.
Well, it's time to get back to work. Still trying to promote Homeownership month more throughout Ohio. We'll see what happens.

Time slips away
It is amazing as I logged in today that it has been four days since I wrote last. Time really does slip by quickly. Here it is late in the day Tuesday. I am going to a copywriting seminar on Thursday and Friday, so updates may be sparse this week.
June is Homeownership month, so if anyone who reads this is thinking about purchasing a home, check out our programs at www.ohiohome.org.
