Another year has started and many of my goals from last year still apply this year. The only exception is that I am six weeks away from finishing my master's degree. It's amazing how quickly two years can go, especially once you make it over the halfway mark.
These two years have taught me quite a bit about the public relations profession. From learning about the history and theory to learning who to use social media and other new technologies to the fullest, I believe that I am ready to set out on a career path that will be exciting and rewarding in the coming years. Now to find that "perfect" job that will allow me to utilize those skills and knowledge.
In this final class we are working to edit and make our mini-capstone projects better. It is interesting to go back and re-read these papers and projects that I did anywhere from two months ago to 18 months ago. I am learning to pull in what I learned from various courses to make each one more comprehensive and am in a sense re-doing my PowerPoint presentations so that they will be easier to access and hear the voice part with them to those outside the KSU community.
I look forward to having more time in 2013 to do more with this blog, read more books within the Comm/PR/Marketing discipline and have a few more minutes to catch my breathe in-between.
